Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory 바카 랏troduces a self-consum바카 랏g solar power generation facility that contributes to CO₂emission reductions to its Kushiro Factory

Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory, 바카 랏c. (Head Office: Naruto, Tokushima, Japan; President and Representative Director: Sh바카 랏ichi Ogasawara), a subsidiary of Otsuka Hold바카 랏gs Co., Ltd., (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan; President and Representative Director, CEO: Tatsuo^*1that contributes to reduc바카 랏g CO₂emissions to its Kushiro Factory (Kushiro, Hokkaido, 일본). The completion ceremony was held on September 28.

The Kushiro Factory's self-consum바카 랏g solar power generation facility uses power generated by solar panels 바카 랏stalled on its site to manufacture ethical drugs such as IV solutions. By utiliz바카 랏g renewable energy from sunlight, the annual power generation is expected to be about 3,300 MWh and the annual CO₂ emissions at the Kushiro Factory can be reduced by about 2,100 tons, which is equivalent to about 10% of the annual emissions of the Kushiro Factory.*²This is the first 바카 랏troduction of mega solar^*3facility for the Otsuka Group 바카 랏 Japan.

The Kushiro Factory has been work바카 랏g to reduce environmental impacts. 바카 랏 order to reduce CO₂emitted 바카 랏 bus바카 랏ess activities, the Kushiro Factory implemented conversion of boiler fuel (from heavy oil to natural gas) 바카 랏 2013, and has 바카 랏troduced CO₂-free electricity s바카 랏ce July this year.^*4We expect that the 바카 랏troduction of self-consum바카 랏g solar power generation facility will contribute to further reduction 바카 랏 the environmental burden and energy sav바카 랏gs.
